Outreach ministries

The call of every Christian - sharing the love of Christ - is the basis for all that we do at Gospel Light. 

Regardless of other life tasks, our primary work is to fulfill the Great Commission wherever God places us. In our homes, our neighborhoods and workplaces, and wherever we go in the community, we are called to serve. Our Outreach Ministry at Gospel Light follows the Great Commission both locally and globally.

  • Lsu Ministry

    One of the great outreach ministries of Gospel Light Baptist Church is our ministry to the students of LSU. God has placed our church within 15-20 minutes of campus and He has also given us a burden to go on campus and tell students about the Lord. This has been a very fruitful ministry and our desire is to grow it to the point of having a Bible study on campus.


    We recently have partnered with an organization known as, "Collegians for Christ." They have assisted us in getting established on campus as a recognized group and we are in the process of getting a Bible study started! Please check out our new page with Collegians for Christ! 


    If you would like to join us for this ministry we would love to have you come out! We meet at the church on Thursdays (during the school year)* around 10:30am. We will pray and then grab all our literature and head to campus. We will be on campus from 11:00am-1:00pm.

  • Soul-winning & visitation ministry

    There are many opportunities to meet with other church members and go out together for Soul-winning and/or Visitation. This ministry involves the distribution of Gospel tracts, door-to-door soul-winning, hospital visitation, and visiting Sunday School class members.

  • Church Bus Ministry

    This ministry provides visitation and transportation for many of the children, teenagers, and adults in our community who need assistance coming to church. This is an exciting branch of service that affords workers the opportunity to see many young people trust Christ as their Savior.
